In addition to residential geo-fence targeting, Cox Media also set up geo-fenced advertising aimed at competitor retail locations, with a goal of persuading local shoppers to explore their options at a new local furniture business.

The Results

Shortly after launching its advertising campaign, the local furniture store reported an uptick in activity aligned with key performance metrics. These positive results included:

  • More than 1.5 million impressions delivered within the client’s community;
  • More than 2,700 ad clicks;
  • More than 2,900 weighted actions (in this case, visits to the brick-and-mortar-store;
  • An overall increase in foot traffic conversions from 70 per month to more than 600.

Based on the strength of this campaign performance—including the more than eight times increase in foot traffic conversions—the client opted to continue that campaign over the course of one year.
